In truth, Athos thinks he should have stopped at the third bottle of wine, but his decisions have been poor as of late and he fears they are so because of Milady's return into his life. He has to wonder if he isn't deliberately sabotaging everything because he is leading up to a decision in which he takes her back into his life for them to start over.

He knows for a fact his friends will think him weak and stupid, but there is a part of Athos that cannot be separated from the affection and love he holds for her. They will be forever intertwined. Why not allow himself to chance at happiness again? And yet, he cannot resolve the decision, which has led him to the overconsumption of alcohols in recent days.

Tonight is red wine. He has just done away with the bottle as he staggers out, but finds himself incapable of moving in the hallway, given that he runs into a rather strange padded creature of a thing, standing in his way. "You're blocking the way," Athos mumbles drunkenly.

Baymax looks down at the patient that has stumbled into his way. In a few blinks, he scans the man and finds his blood alcohol level alarmingly high.

"Please drink some water," he says.

Irritated, Athos glares up at the blur in his sight, wondering how a man can be so utterly pale. Even he, who spends hardly time outside, has not grown to such levels. "I am not in the mood for water, thank you," he retorts sharply, trying to push past but failing to find the room to do so.

Baymax tilts his head again, scanning his new patient. "Your blood-alcohol level is within an unsafe range. It is best to refrain from drinking anymore intoxicants. Drinking water and having food is the best option."

Athos blinks and wonders if he is truly seeing what he believes himself to be seeing. "You are a great white swollen thing," he notes, calmly eyeing the thing in his path, wondering at whether his sword would puncture it. "I shall not be told to stop by a creature I can hardly understand."

"No," Baymax corrects. He holds up a hand and waves it in a small, circular motion. "I am Baymax, a personal healthcare companion."

Even with Athos' practiced English, he does not truly know that he has understood what the creature has said to him. It is entirely too strange and he cannot imagine that it is a real name. "You are a great white puff," Athos counters. He has never been a happy drunk, but he finds that his incredulity is building into amusement.

"I do not know that I will listen to you."

Baymax nods, his stomach screen lighting up with a diagram of his own schematics. "I was created with a non-threatening, huggable design that is also soft, if I need to assist with injured or seizing patients."

Athos stumbles backwards, his eyes widening as though he is looking at a devilish and supernatural thing. Of course, this place is as mad as anything, but this is a horrifying thing in his presence and he has not the bearing of mind to understand it -- the wine has done that, of course. "I'm sorry, you were created with a what sort of design?"

"The intention is for me to be nonthreatening and huggable," Baymax repeats. "My directive is to comfort and reassure my patients if they are injured and in emotional distress. I can also become warmer or colder if needed."

Athos blinks, hears 'huggable' once more and decides he has consumed too much to bear. "Do you provide alcohol to those in need of emotional sustenance?" he wonders, given that this is the care he requires most of all.

"Using alcohol to alleviate emotional stress is considered a harmful addiction. Please seek emotional support or counseling," Baymax says. He pulls up a database of alcohol recovery programs on his stomach screen.

Athos stares incredulously as he is spoken to about emotional stress and addiction and counselling. He wonders, now, if this is some elaborate joke on behalf of Aramis and Porthos, but even they could not be so creative and inventive. Nor could this be Milady causing havoc, for she would not go this far.

"I'll thank you to stay out of my emotional stresses," he mutters, trying to get past the thing. "Now let me through."

With clumsy steps, Baymax moves himself to put his back against the wall. "It is in my programming to help others. I will always try to ease humans in distress," Baymax explains, taking a few more steps forward like he means to follow.

Athos stares at the great creature one more time, as if perplexed by his continued presence and his odd gait and shape. He knows this should not be possible, but so many things in this place should not be possible and yet they are, as if a taunt. "I am afraid my distress is a long held situation and nothing you may say or do can stop such a thing."

"I would still like to help," Baymax says. As if in thought, he tilts his head to the side, looking over at his patient. "Are you sure there is nothing I can do?"

"You can cease to confound me," Athos remarks cuttingly, wondering if he might do some damage if he took his sword to the thing before him, but he admires it for the technology. He simply does not wish it to be advanced anywhere around him.

"Am I being confusing?" Baymax asks.

This is not his first reluctant patient as Hiro had initially been the same, but it is difficult for Baymax to process.

"You are a giant white puff who is uttering nonsense about my health," Athos remarks, starting to worry that he's sobering up because this is becoming even stranger. "It is nothing but confusing."

Baymax's stomach lights up, providing a schematic of how he works and is made. "I am not a puff. I am a robot."

Athos is as blank as ever, regarding the strange thing with as much disbelief as before. "Am I to understand what that is? My English is not good, but it is hardly that bad, either."

"I am a mechanical device," Baymax says helpfully. "Equipped with artificial intelligence."
